So what happened was….
Robbie Feltham, proprietor of the Kingswood Hotel in Weymouth and a client of ours for many years, ambushed me in a weak moment. “Richard, what are you and Mandy doing on Carnival Day?” Unable to produce a reasonable excuse in time, we soon found ourselves part of his Red Barrows formation display team.
Not quite an adequate substitute for the real thing, here’s one of our trickier manoeuvres. We eventually made it all the way along Weymouth Esplanade and the generous spectators filled our barrows with cash for the Carnival Charities. The drink at the finish was most welcome. I will be avoiding Robbie throughout the buildup to next years Carnival.
