We’ve just returned from Sicily where we visited the Quattrocieli Winery to taste several years of Catarratto wine, a local grape. With a comprehensive masterclass with Giuseppe Alcamo and a wonderful lunch prepared by his sister Vatentina we had an interesting and educational day.
We were then able to bottle the 2018 and prepare personal labels, it’s far more golden and rich than the Catarratto we generally see imported to the U.K. We also tasted the rest of their Whites, Reds and a cracking Rose.It was a long, hot day but very much worth the trip.
We can highly recommend these lovely people and their brand new winery with it’s beautiful views and baby kittens.
